Rest Encouragement – June 12, 2019

Greetings,

       Have you ever wondered what you can do to be most pleasing to the Lord?

       “. . . a woman named Martha welcomed Him [Jesus] into her home. She had a sister called Mary who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up and said, ‘Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.’ But the Lord answered and said to her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.’ “ (Luke 10:38-42)

       The Lord loves it when you just sit with Him.  Christianity is a Rest.

       But Dave, I want to be active for the Lord – I don’t want to be a Christian Couch Potato!  I get that – that’s why “sitting at His feet” is so important.

       Here’s the Encouragement: Rest with the Lord – that way, when He gets up to go Love somebody, you are invited to go with Him and watch Him bring His Kingdom to set them free . . . Through You!  It’s Awesome!! (If you’re too busy and bothered, in the Kitchen with Martha, you might miss it.)
