Believing Believers — Weekly Encouragement – October 25, 2020

Greetings Friend,

       Scripture says Jesus first appeared to Mary Magdalene once He arose. “She went and reported to those who had been with Him [His disciples]…When they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they refused to believe it.” (Mark 16:9-11) Just because they didn’t believe, did not make it not so!

       Jesus also appeared to 2 others. “They went away and reported it to the others, but they did not believe them either…He [Jesus] reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart because they had not believed…” (Mark 16:12-13)

       Today I’m speaking to the “unbelieving-believers”. Soften your heart and believe! Consider, what if the Word of God is True? Because it is!!

       So, here’s the Encouragement: Just like Mary Magdalene, I’m here to report Truth – I’ve seen these signs many times (except the serpents — and poison, although some of the things we ate in Africa might qualify as poison). Jesus said, “These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”(Mark 16:17-18) Believe this so that Jesus won’t need to reproach.
