Thank You Jesus!

Weekly Encouragement – January 26, 2020

Greetings Friend,

       I recently sat with a group of mostly Christians and I asked, “Is God pleased with you this week?” How would you answer that question? The answers from the group were varied, but most were based on how they thought God had seen their behavior. For the most part, if they thought their behavior was pretty good, they thought God was pretty pleased with them. Like most Christians, unfortunately, they thought being justified with God was based on their behavior.

       “nevertheless, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through Faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by Faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified.” (Galatians 2:16)

       Can you see it? It was a “trick question” because the answer is always “Yes!” for every Christian. All of us are OK with God thanks to Jesus! We are only made right with God “…through Faith in Christ Jesus…” “For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” (Romans 10:4)

       I’m very passionate about this week’s Encouragement! And here it is: Thank you Jesus! “I do not nullify the Grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.” (Galatians 2:21)
