Holy-Spirit-Rivers of Living Water

Weekly Encouragement – February 2, 2020

Greetings Friend,

       “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!…’He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’ I myself have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God.” (John 1:29,33-34)

       Have your sins been taken away? Are you baptized in the Holy Spirit? I hope you’re saying “Yes” and “Yes”! Many say “Yes” to the first question (even though we tend to live as if we don’t really believe that), and “What are you talking about?” to the second.

       John the Baptist said that Spirit baptism is one of the things Jesus does. So, tell the Lord you want it and then spend time with Him (simply turn your heart to Him and soak in His presence) until you receive it – “For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure.” (John 3:34)

       Here’s the Encouragement: “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of Living water.’ But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive…” (John 7:38-39) Don’t settle for less than Holy-Spirit-rivers of Living water!
